The Port of Brisbane engaged McNab to design and construct a specialised logistics and distribution facility for their tenant Team Transport. The 2,000m2 warehouse with dado panel and colourbond wall cladding is supported by a small office. Fleet logistics are supported by the provision of a wash bay, weighbridge and 4,430m2 hardstand designed for storage of 144 containers. Our design and consultant team understand the Port of Brisbane geotechnical uniqueness due to being reclaimed land. The structural design has included extensive ground improvement works to firm the ground to alleviate these issues as well as the installation of a fibre reinforced concrete slab. A very tight construction programme of 77 working days is in place on this project, which will be achieved with our ‘out of box’ thinking. Our team will be building out of typical construction sequence, starting on external hardstands, to ensure the ground improvements, hardstands and warehouse are all delivered on time.
