Detail: This 6 Star Green Star and Living Building Challenge building has won nearly every major award in Australia , including best development in QLD (Property Council of Australia 2016) and Best Sustainable Development in Australia (Property Council of Australia 2016). The GCI building generates more energy than it consumes through extensive solar panels, geopolymer concrete structure, hydronic cooling, operable sun shading and 60,000 litres of rainwater storage. The project was a huge success for all stakeholders, with McNab having completed 5 more projects for QUT since this project.
