Focus Apartments, Surfers Paradise

At Focus Apartments, we successfully transformed the pool, spa and surrounding landscaped areas. This rejuvenation has not only breathed new life into this dated structure but was also delivered within six months.

The comprehensive overhaul of the pool and the spa facilities involved a complete demolition of the spa and all surrounding planter boxes, followed by an installation of a new spa. The pool undertook a structural refurbishment and a thorough aesthetic makeover, along with addressing basement issues, which were integral parts of this revitalisation initiative.

The podium near the pool and spa also undertook a thorough waterproofing process, ensuring its longevity and to protect it from the natural elements. To tackle water, rain and drainage concerns around these areas, a new stormwater system was installed. This also included installing soft fall non-slip flooring and artificial tiles, creating a virtually relaxing, appealing, and functional space, which is safe for users.

Our transformative work of the pool, spa and surrounding areas has helped the client attract more bookings and has also increased the value of units owned by Focus apartment residents, which has truly left a positive impact.

No 1 Hastings St, Noosa Heads

McNab Building Services successfully delivered the refurbishment of the iconic No 1 Hastings Street, a 24-unit luxury complex overlooking Noosa Main Beach. This top-to-bottom upgrade involved a coordinated scope of works designed to enhance the structure’s longevity, functionality and aesthetic appeal while maintaining the integrity of its beachfront location.

Key works included full building exterior painting, waterproofing, concrete repairs, corrosion control and custom metalwork. This project also includes the replacement of the building’s main lift, as well as the refurbishment of the inclinator, a unique feature of the complex. Several components of the inclinator system were custom-designed and manufactured specifically for this project to ensure precision and compatibility with the existing structure.

Externally, the project involved significant landscaping upgrades including the installation of new retaining walls, planting schemes, electrical lighting, and irrigation systems.

Through detailed planning and a quality-focused approach, we have successfully delivered this complex refurbishment in a high-volume environment.

Breakers North Apartments

At Broadbeach’s Breakers North Apartments, we spearheaded another significant project to rejuvenate the pool, spa, raised pool podium and surrounding landscaped areas.

The project was not only finished within a span of five months but also accomplished two months ahead of the initially planned schedule.

This extensive renovation of these areas involved a complete demolition of all these areas, followed by the installation of a new pool, spa, water irrigation system, sunshades and screens.

The project also required the construction of a new pool podium deck, planter boxes, and surrounding balustrades for neighbouring units.

Overall, this work has completely transformed these areas breathing new life into this dated structure and has reignited new bookings, holidaymakers, and significantly adding value to the units owned by Breakers North residents.

Laguna on Sutton, Redcliffe

McNab Building Services has successfully delivered the external refurbishment of the Laguna on Sutton residential development.

The scope of this project included demolition, cladding installation, balustrade replacement, waterproofing works, parapet walls and tiling, door and window replacement and elevations to external painting and internal works.

The rooftop and all balconies were fully re-waterproofed and re-tiled as well as a complete repaint and render repair to the external.

Throughout the project, McNab Building Services worked closely with the Body Corporate and consultants to ensure all works were delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to residents. The completed refurbishment has significantly enhanced the building’s durability, performance, and overall appearance, extended the lifespan of the asset and elevated the visual appeal of the development. The Laguna on Sutton project reflects McNab Building Services’' expertise in complex refurbishment works and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes across residential environments.

Restoring the beauty of heritage listed buildings.

Marist College Ashgrove Tower Refurbishment

This heritage listed building saw a complete refurbishment including the restoration of marble statues, terrazzo tiles, and medieval tracery in the windows and arches. Works also included new bathrooms, outdoor community areas, classrooms, timber hallways, meeting rooms, administration office, commercial kitchen, a lift with glass shaft along with the installation of an audio visual and security system.

Now restored, The Tower greets visitors to the college and provides an innovative and vibrant leaning hub for students and teachers. McNab are pleased to restore this eighty-six year old building in Ashgrove.
